Planar Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLNR), a worldwide leader in specialty display solutions, today announced the 1,000-unit shipping milestone of its Planar LX1200 in-vehicle touchscreen displays to public safety agencies and commercial fleets nationwide. The screens enable personnel within vehicles to access vocational mobile computer applications such as dispatching and vehicle registration databases. This family of products, including the LX1200TI with an infrared touchscreen, supports Planar’s strategic investment in developing specialty displays that address the unique challenges of vehicle applications.
